BioI guess I should first note that from time to time my LiveJournal may include adult oriented content. In order to keep myself from having to avoid such, underage viewers should avoid my LJ.
Aside from seven months in second grade in Godfrey, IL, I grew up in Bahama, a small village north of Durham, NC. Clay Aiken's mom, Faye, was one of my Sunday School teachers. I thought she was incredibly beautiful--she looked like Ginger Grant. I did my college time in Boone, NC, then lived in a 291 square foot apartment in Chapel Hill for 12 years. After years of fighting my temptation to be attracted to men, I realized at 36 that gay isn't a passing temptation; much more than simple sexual attraction, it's the core of who I am. In 1999, I met Tim at Raleigh's Flex, and we've been together ever since, cohabitating since he returned from a temporary work assignment in the DC area and didn't try to find his own place. That was when I decided 291 square feet was not enough for two and bought a townhouse in Durham. We've been setting up housekeeping there since our first anniversary in December of 2000. It's a never ending task.
